Talking to reporters in Gulberg at an Anti Dengue Day activity, the chief minister said that he had written to his counterpart in Sindh and spoken to him over the phone him and assured him of “all possible cooperation”. He said that medical teams from the Punjab would be ready to travel to Sindh as soon as Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah gave the orders.
The chief minister said that in the Punjab, a large volunteer force had been prepared to battle dengue. He said that senior members of his government, as well as a broad cross section of the general public, were attending seminars, workshops and walks to help with the campaign against dengue. He said that the vigorous participation of all segments of society had shown the utility of holding an anti-dengue day.
