KARACHI:

In two separate incidents of violence, three men were killed while a journalist was injured by armed robbers.

A Dawn News reporter was injured by armed robbers near the Darul Sehat Hospital in Gulistan-e-Johar on Thursday night. Zunaib Moin Khanzada was shot in the left hand as he resisted two men on bike who attempted to take away his valuables.

In a separate incident, unidentified armed men barged into a house in Khokhrapar area of Muslimabad on Thursday night and killed three friends, who are allegedly part of a narcotics ring, police said.

“Haji Muhammad Aslam, 45, Muhammad Nadeem and Anwar were killed. It looks like the killings are a result of an infighting between gangs. Aslam was wanted in different cases,” said DSP Khokhrapar Faqarul Islam.

Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz (JSQM) said the murdered men were its activists. “They have been killed by Lyari gangsters,” said Asif Baladi, JSQM’s general secretary.
