Pakistani businessmen to meet Indian counterparts
Team leaves for India, will take part in Pakistan Expo as well.

A high-powered trade delegation, led by Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Haji Fazal Kadir Khan Sherani, left for India on Thursday to explore opportunities and enhance bilateral trade between the two countries.
According to an announcement made by the FPCCI, the delegation, comprising prominent businesspersons, will participate in ‘Made in Pakistan Expo 2012’, which will be held in Mumbai from August 31 to September 5. In the fair, Pakistani manufacturers and producers of textile, spices, melamine crockery, onyx/marble handicrafts, herbal cosmetics, plastics products, fashion design and garments will showcase their products.
During its stay, the FPCCI delegation will also meet representatives of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and All India Association of Industries.
Before departing for Mumbai, the FPCCI president said Pakistan and India should promote bilateral economic and trade relations to alleviate poverty from the two countries.
“Both countries are major founding members of Saarc (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation), hence responsible for improving livelihood of the people of Saarc nations and should act positively to maintain good relations and this is increasing,” he said.
