Love Marriage: DPO told to protect couple

Sajida Bibi and Malik Wali Ali had submitted a petition requesting the court to provide them security.

SIALKOT: District and Sessions Judge Mehboob Qadir Shah on Wednesday ordered District Police Officer Afzaal Ahmed Kausar to provide protection to a newly wed couple, who sought protection from their families over marrying without the consent of their parents. Sajida Bibi, a resident of the Bajra Garhi village, married Malik Wali Ali in February 2012 in Dubai, after which they returned to Pakistan. They submitted a petition requesting the court to provide them security. They said their families had threatened to kill them.
