Efficiency: UVAS, IFAD discuss improving dairy farming
The IFAD said their funding agency interested in developing linkages with the university to improve dairy potential.

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) and the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) at a meeting on Wednesday discussed how modern dairy farming on a public-private partnership model can be evolved.
The meeting was chaired by UVAS VC Dr Talat Naseer Pasha. It was attended by IFAD representative Maleeha Hussain, country programme manager Matteo Marchisio, livestock specialist Antonio Rota and institutional and programme manager Rab Nawaz.
From the UVAS, Veterinary Sciences Dean Dr Nasim Ahmad and Quality Operation Lab Director Dr Tahir Yaqoob were present. The participants reached a consensus that dairy production can be increased using the latest model dairy farming practices to uplift small farmers. The IFAD representatives said their funding agency was interested in developing sustainable linkages with the university to improve dairy potential.
