Reprimand: JI expresses outrage at police failures

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) member and former MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali has asked the government to take notice of the deteriorating law and order situation in Chitral before the situation gets out of control. While addressing a press conference, he criticised DPO Chitral for failing to maintain peace in the area and demanded that he be replaced. Chitrali said that due to the slackness of police personnel, criminals get a chance to further malicious activities. While mentioning the failures of police officials in solving criminal cases, he talked about the incident in Broye Village where a five-year-old boy was killed. He also demanded that the chief minister rebuild the wooden bridge which was torched by unidentified miscreants on Sunday.
