Dengue: ‘Only 12 confirmed cases in Punjab this year’

As many as 12 people in the Punjab have been found suffering from dengue fever this year, said a press release issued by the Health Department on Friday.
It said there have been no dengue-related deaths. The statement said that during the last eight months, 1,025 patients had been tested for the virus.
According to the spokesperson, two of the patients are currently receiving treatment at Mayo Hospital and the Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology, Faisalabad. The rest of the patients have recovered, the spokesman added.
