Three people were shot to death whereas one was tortured; another succumbed to injuries.

Karachi unrest: 5 killed, 2 injured in violent incidents

KARACHI: At least five people were killed and two others were injured in incidents of violence and firing in the city, Express News reported on Friday.

Unidentified men fled after dumping the tortured body of a man near the Surjani Town police station.

A man, identified as Abdul Salam, was killed when unidentified assailants on motorcycles opened fire on him in Block 2 of Gulistan-e-Johar.

One person was killed when unknown assailants shot him within the limits of the Napier police station. His body was recovered from Nishtar Road.

Noman, one of those injured in firing at a Qawwali program two days ago in Baghdadi, succumbed to his injuries in the Civil Hospital.

Twenty two-year-old Salman was killed during a fight in Korangi No. 2.5, whereas two people were injured in incidents of firing in Malir and Jamia Cloth Market.

Why this unnecessary killing?Karachi has been now a killing field.Some elements with active support from police and administration are out to destroy the reputation of this old historic city.
