Pak-India relations: Strengthening ties need of the hour

Sadiq said that India is buying jet fighters worth billions of rupees from Russia, which is matter of concern.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly Speaker Sardar Ghulam Sadiq underscored the need that strengthening Pakistan’s and India’s relations further is the need of the hour, however, he added that trade and support ties could only be restored if India shows willingness to settle the long-standing Kashmir dispute according to the United Nations resolution.

He said this while speaking to various delegations including media persons who called on him at his residence on Thursday.

Sadiq said that India is buying jet fighters worth billions of rupees from Russia, which is matter of concern and it could adversely affect peace and stability of the region. He went on to say that the government will not show any weakness pertaining to resolution of the Kashmir dispute for which matchless sacrifices have been made, which could not be overlooked at any cost.


He and AJK Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Shaheen Kausar Dar expressed sympathy with people who suffered huge damages during the recent floods.
