KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) representatives in the Sindh Assembly have expressed concern over the reported delay in salaries for government employees. In a statement on Saturday, the MPAs asked Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to ensure the employees were paid for the month of July. They expressed concern over the fact that Eidul Fitr is approaching and government employees do not have money to pay for Eid festivities and for their children. They condemned that government departments do not seem to be taking any steps to rectify the situation.
