Chinyere Eid Collection 2010 hits stores

The line displayed stitched pants, shirts in the latest fashion boasting traditional and modern embroidery and style.

KARACHI: Chinyere Eid Collection 2010 is out in stores. The collection featured 35 to 40 designs in various colours but was largely dominated by black and white.

The Chinyere Collection by Pakistani brand Bareeze and this year features the work by eight designers currently based in Lahore. The line displayed stitched pants and shirts in the latest fashion that boasted both traditional and modern embroidery and style.

The shirts were embroidered with resham and kora work or decorated with different coloured sequins.  Chiffon, Kharandi Lawn, Camric Cotton, Cotton Kharandi , Polyster Net, Cotton Net and Georgette Net were used to make shirts whereas grip silk and raw silk were used for the pants and trousers on display.

The prices of the shirts varied with casual shirts ranging from Rs2,500 to Rs3,500 and the more formal shirts being priced at Rs6,200 to Rs8,000. An exception was a white shirt which was tagged at Rs21,900.

Chinyere featured loose, flowy shirts and kaftan styles for which customers would buy pants separately. The collection displayed a small variety of matching bags with which to accessorise the clothes. However, only about four to five bags were on display predominantly in black and beige. They were made of velvet and decorated with sequins.

The Chinyere Kamdani Collection which was showcased at the second Fashion Pakistan Week and was also on display at the shop.

This chic collection is targeting women of 18 years of age to 40 years. The clothes are perfect for working women but this year’s collection is different from the main Bareeze Collection which blends designs in a different manner and often displays unstitched pieces for sale.
