Shahbaz Sharif hands Rs1m cheque to BA exams topper
CM Punjab orders that Ali be allotted a house through the Ashiana Scheme.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif handed out a cheque worth Rs1 million to Muhsen Ali who topped in the Punjab University BA examinations 2012, Express News reported on Monday. The chief minister also ordered that Ali be allotted a house through the Ashiana Scheme.
The chief minister met Ali in Lahore on Monday where he handed him the cheque and promised to give him a scholarship for his future studies. He also said that the Punjab government will bear all his expenses.
Sharif told Ali that the government as well as the entire nation is proud of him and added that the future of the country is in the hands of such students.
MNA Sara Afzal and Pervaiz Rasheed were also present at the meeting.
Ali, who works at a tandoor in Lahore and is a son of a labourer, stunned everyone on Saturday after securing 688 marks in BA examinations securing the first position.
