Independence day: 430 rescuers deployed

in Lahore, 23 ambulances, 13 fire vehicles and four rescue vehicles will be available

LAHORE: As many as 430 rescuers have been deployed in the city for August 13 and August 14, Punjab Emergency Service Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said on Sunday. He was presiding over a meeting to review arrangements for Independence Day. He said all districts emergency officers have been assigned special duties for these two days. He said in Lahore, 23 ambulances, 13 fire vehicles and four rescue vehicles will be available on Ferozepur Road, Fortress Stadium, Yateem Khana, Bhati Chowk, Defence Mor, Walton, Mughalpura Chowk, Mughalpura Rescue Station, Yadgar Rescue Station, City Railway Station, Saddar roundabout, Hazoori Bagh, GPO Chowk, Wapda House, Thokar Niaz Baig Rescue Station, Model Town Mor, Shahdara Rescue Station, Shaukat Khanum Chowk, Akbar Chowk, Moon Market, Chauburji Chowk, Siddique Trade Centre on Jail Road, Canal Bridge, The Mall,  Defence Rescue Station, Liberty roundabout, Township Rescue Station, LOS near Ichhra and Lohari Rescue Station.
