FIR against Sharifs: Hearing adjourned till Aug 13
Ahad claims to be Shahbaz’s wife and has moved court to stop him from marrying again without her permission.
LAHORE:
A judge adjourned till August 13, a petition that seeks registration of an FIR against Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his son, MNA Hamza Shahbaz for threatening Ayesha Ahad’s mother Rifat Malik, and daughter. Ahad claims to be Shahbaz’s wife and has moved court to stop him from marrying again without her permission. The case was adjourned after the South Cantt SHO told the court that the complainant’s house was not located in the jurisdiction. At the last hearing, the SHO had been directed to tell the court why he had not registered an FIR despite Malik approaching the police station. Malik says that she, accompanied by her granddaughter, had been on her way home from court when the car was stopped by some unidentified men who threatened them with dire consequences if the family did not withdraw the case against Hamza Shahbaz. The petitioner says that she is sure the men had been hired by the chief minister and his son.
