Released after compromise: Court acquits four men of murder
The family members of the deceased reportedly settled matters outside the court.
KARACHI:
A district and sessions court acquitted four men of murder charges on Tuesday, after the complainant and the accused reached a compromise. The family members of the deceased, Sebtain, and the accused, Mehboob Hussain, Jaffar Hussain, Ghulam Qamber and Fida Hussain, reportedly settled matters outside the court. According to the verdict, the family did not claim any compensation and withdrew voluntarily. Sebtain, a resident of Lyari and father of three children, was shot dead near the Super Highway in 2011 and an FIR was registered at the Sachal police station. The first additional district and sessions judge, Iqbal Ahmed Khawaja, ordered that that the accused should be released unless they were required in any other custody case.
