Baseball: Pakistan off to dismal start in Europe

Performance of the team has been less than satisfactory: Coach

KARACHI: Pakistan began their European tour at the XXIII International Baseball and Softball Tournament ‘Citta Dl Arezzo’ Tuscany Series with a dismal performance, losing two matches to local clubs Siena 8-1 and Arezzo 16-0 in Italy yesterday. According to Pakistan coach Musadiq Hanif, the performance of the team has been less than satisfactory as the team went down without putting up a fight. “It’s our first European tour so obviously I wasn’t expecting a lot,” Hanif told The Express Tribune. “We lost our matches badly but I was definitely expecting a better show.”
