LAHORE:

You will rarely spot someone looking outstanding at a social gathering. We have gotten into a rut of looking alike and this lack of individuality translated into a the lack of personal style. Zahra Ayub, a young stylist from London, has a flair for fashion; currently settled in Los Angeles, the stylist talks to us about her style and individuality. We take a sneak peek into her wardrobe and ask her about her top 10 favourite items.

“My style is very versatile and eclectic,” says Ayub. “I go for different looks depending on where I’m going, the weather and what/who I’m inspired by on that particular day, as opposed to having one particular style I could easily define.”

“ I dress sort of hippie-ish at times, and a little bohemian – very much inspired by the ‘60s, ‘70s and borderline ‘80s fashion – but I also love all the modern day swag and old classic chic, like Jackie O and Grace Kelly. I think style is about showing your character through your outfit and that’s what I try doing.”

Ayub’s style comprises of combining high fashion apparel with high street and carefully accessorising so that it doesn’t take over the outfit.
