NA committee unanimously passes amended IPO draft bill
Bill passed after deliberation on amendments, corrections as proposed by Committee secretariat, members committee.
ISLAMABAD:
The National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat here on Wednesday unanimously passed the Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan (Ordinance, 2012) bill with certain amendments.
The meeting held under the Chairmanship of Dewan Ashiq Hussain Bokhari, passed the bill as proposed by the Cabinet secretariat, IPO and members of the Committee, said a statement.
Earlier, the Director General Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan briefed the committee regarding the Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan (Ordinance, 2012) bill and proposed the some amendments and corrections in the bill.
After detailed deliberation, the committee unanimously passed the bill with certain amendments as proposed by the Cabinet secretariat and members of the committee.
MNAs Abdul Ghani Talpur, Dr Mahreen Razaq Bhutto, Tariq Mahmood Bajwa,Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Shaikh Salahuddin,Pervaiz Khan Advocate, Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi and Ms. Parveen Masood Bhatti attended the meeting.
