Bilateral trade: Nepalese diplomat calls for more interaction
Paudyal said that Nepal mainly exports cardamom, coffee, ginger, tea and various herbs to Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD:
Nepalese Ambassador Bharat Raj Paudyal has said that the exchange of sector-specific trade delegations, single country exhibitions and proactive involvement of the business community of Pakistan and Nepal could enhance bilateral trade relations between the two countries.
He was talking to members of the Islamabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). Paudyal said that Nepal mainly exports cardamom, coffee, ginger, tea and various herbs to Pakistan.
He was of the opinion that trade exhibitions could be the most feasible option for strengthening mutual economic, cultural and trade ties between Nepal and Pakistan, as both the countries have similar tastes.
Speaking on the occasion, ICCI President Yassar Sakhi Butt said that the ICCI has planned an International Industrial Expo in Islamabad this year to promote exports of industrial products, and invited Nepalese counterparts to participate in the event.
