Public [In]Convenience: Traffic Police issue diversion plan

LAHORE: The Capital City Traffic Police on Tuesday issued a plan to avoid traffic jams on Ferozepur Road owing to the construction of the Metro Bus System project. It has been suggested that commuters coming from Kasur through the Ring Road or Motorway and heading to Gujranwala should use the GT Road. Those travelling to Shahdara from Ichhra or the Canal should take the Thokar Niaz Baig route. Those coming from Kasur and heading towards Shahdara through Bhatta Chowk, Ring Road and River Ravi must use Ghazi Road. Those travelling from City Railway Station to Dharampura, should use Allama Iqbal Road. Commuters from Sheikhupura and Gujranwala headed for Kasur should use Ghazi Road and Ring Road. Else, they can take Circular Road to reach City Railway Station and then head towards Shimla Pahari and Gulberg. The directions are being aired on traffic police’s radio channel.
