Cricket: Agha Nizam CC grab easy win

Najibullah scored a half-century and Kashif Sattar took three wickets as Agha Nizam CC defeated Qasim CC.

KARACHI: Najibullah scored a half-century and Kashif Sattar took three wickets as Agha Nizam CC defeated Qasim CC by 71 runs in their 17th Dr MA Shah Night Trophy match at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium. Batting first, Agha Nizam amassed 181 for seven as Najibullah scored an unbeaten 53 with the help of two sixes and five boundaries while Taimoor Khan struck a six and five fours in his 43-run knock. Skipper Abid Qasmi bagged three wickets for 20 runs in his four overs. In reply, Qasmi CC were bowled out for 110 in just 14.4 overs as only opener Rehan Azam could stand up a challenge with a 45 as wickets kept tumbling at the other end. Sattar bowled well for his three wickets as he conceded just 17 runs while Aurangzaib Khan took two scalps.
