Pakistan is taking steps to bring trade relations with India towards normalcy: Secretary Commerce

ISLAMABAD: Negotiations between India and Pakistan’s commerce secretaries will be held in September in New Delhi. This was revealed by Secretary Commerce Munir Qureshi while speaking to journalists after the meeting of the standing committee of the National Assembly on Thursday. During the talks, Pakistan will raise the issue of non-tariff barriers with India in a befitting manner. He said that the talks on the secretary commerce level are being held for confidence building measures and are part and parcel of composite dialogue. He said that the Pakistani business community is facing hardships owing to non-tariff barriers and Pakistani exports are getting delayed. India will be asked for reduction of non-tariff barriers. He said that Pakistan is taking steps to bring trade relations with India towards normalcy.
