Drugs seized: Three boys arrested with chars

After confir­ming that all three boys were under the age of 16, the police have detain­ed them in the juveni­le ward.

SUKKUR:


The police have arrested three boys for possessing 2 kilogammes of drugs. The Rehmatpur police were on a routine checking drive at an overhead bridge when they stopped the boys. During a body search, the drugs were seized and confiscated.

All three were brought before the court of the third judicial magistrate of Larkana, who after hearing the case, handed them over to the police for two weeks. The penalty for possessing one kilogram or more of drugs can vary between three to twenty years, depending upon the evidence and situation. The boys were said to be 10, 13 and 14 years old, however the magistrate sent them for a medical check to certify their age. After confirming that all three boys were under the age of 16, the police have detained them in the juvenile ward of the women’s police station in Larkana and are trying to contact their parents.
