MANSEHRA: The police took nine days to book six men who allegedly abducted a girl from the outskirts of Shinkiari. On Thursday, Babar*, a resident of Baidadi village, said that six armed men barged into his house when he was home with his family members some nine days back. The intruders tied him to a cot and took away his 15-year-old daughter, Rukhsana*. However, he said the Shinkiari police station refused to register a case against the ‘influential’ rival party. He then approached the District Police Officer (DPO), who ordered the same police station to register a case against the accused. When contacted, a police personnel confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused under section 365-B on the orders of the DPO. To a question, he said that the Station House Officer was carrying out inquiry into the complaint, due to which the registration got delayed. The accused are: Liaquat, Nazakat, Ahmed Ali, Sabir Abdul Rehman and Sajid.
