Surprise visit: Doctors found absent from duties

A majority of doctors in the gynaecology department were not present while patients kept waiting.

ISLAMABAD: A surprise visit to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences was conducted by Capital Administration and Development Division Joint Secretary Noor Zaman on Thursday, during which he found some doctors to be absent from duty. A majority of doctors in the gynaecology department were not present while patients kept waiting. Criticising the doctors, Zaman said they are enjoying high salaries in addition to perks and privileges and it is their responsibility conduct their duties in a professional manner.
