Tennis: Hamza wins as ranking event concludes

Malik Hamza beat Hassan Siddiqui 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 to win the men’s singles event.

The 19th SSB Development Series Ranking Tennis came to an end at the Union Club in Karachi with Malik Hamza beating Hassan Siddiqui 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 to win the men’s singles event. Hamza showed great resilience to come back from a set down to overcome his opponent in three sets. In the women’s singles final, Hania Naveed breezed past Neha Khan 6-1 6-0 in a one-sided affair. Meanwhile, in the under-15 category, Nazif Ahmed crushed Marib Malik 8-5, while Yaha Ehtisham beat Marzia Shafiq 8-3 in the U9 category.
