People want his autograph, get photographed with him and even film him, but he is not a celebrity.  Meet Shahid Nazir whose “One Pound Fish” song made him a ‘celebrity fishmonger’ when it went viral on the social media.

He does not have a marketing or business degree – his singing skills help rope in customers at the busy Queens Market in East London.

With his roots in Lahore, Nazir moved to London for a livelihood. He started singing to sell fish, but did not know that his unusual way of selling would garner him fame.

In the video, among many others released, Nazir is being filmed by unknown passersby who keenly watch him sing.

He shifts from low notes to high notes, swaying and doing hand movements as he repeatedly sings the song.

Video rating: Two thumbs up for the novel way of selling fish.
