Brazen attack: Suspects taken into custody

DPO said that the visitors who used to come to District Jail to see the accused were also using fake CNICs.

ATTOCK: Some suspects have been taken into custody in connection to the attack by an armed group, which killed a police constable and a taxi driver, injuring two on Sunday, said District Police Officer (DPO) Attock Hilal Khan. He clarified that the actual name of the culprit was Shamsher, who was freed from police custody, adding that the accused was using a fake Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) under the name of Amjad Khan. The DPO said that the visitors who used to come to District Jail to see the accused were also using fake CNICs. He said that the attack was preplanned. Moreover, he said the the police will soon arrest the culprits.
