PML-N to resist contempt-of-court bill: Zafar Jhagra
Jhagra said that leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party have failed to address the problems faced by the people.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will protest against the proposed contempt of court bill if the government brings it to the National Assembly, said the party’s secretary general Iqbal Zafar Jhagra during a press conference on Sunday.
Jhagra said that leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party have failed to address the problems faced by the people. While responding to allegations levelled against Nawaz Sharif by Sindh National Party chairman Ameer Bux Bhambro, Jhagra said that the nationalist leader had forgotten the time when he was pleading to get into the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy.
The University of Sindh’s (SU) teaching staff, who were also present on the occasion, reiterated their demand of the removal of SU vice chancellor Dr Nazeer Mughal. “He was appointed due to PPP’s influence. Since his appointment, lawlessness has spread on the university’s campus and there have been four murders,” said Arafana Mallah. Jhagra later led a PML-N delegation to the residence of Pakistan Muslim League-Likeminded president Arbab Ghulam Rahim, where the leaders reiterated their parties’ stands of forming an electoral alliance.
