LAHORE:
Additional District and Sessions Judge Aijaz Ahmed on Wednesday handed over two children to their mother after getting them recovered from the illegal custody of their father.
Naheed Parveen, a resident of Hadiara, had filed a habeas corpus petition stating that her husband Zubair had kicked her out of their home a few days ago and was refusing to let her seven-year old son Umair and three-year-old daughter Ammara go with her. She said that she had a bad relationship with her husband and they had fought all the time. She asked the court to direct her husband to return the children.
The court appointed the Hadiara station house officer as bailiff and directed him to recover the children. On Wednesday, the SHO produced the children in court. They were later handed over to their mother Naheed.
