YouTube video of the day: What's your take on Pakistan?

So what comes to people’s mind when they hear Pakistan’s name? Many Britons and British-Pakistanis had differing opinions about Pakistan – rife with terrorism, poverty-stricken, a country with immense potential, a misunderstood nation – the list goes on…

But when these people spoke up for Pakistan, they had a different story to tell. A video released by the United Kingdom Foreign Office, “Speaking up for Pakistan: What would you say?” features what different people have to say about Pakistan.

While many of them believed that Pakistan is a wealthy nation in terms of talent and natural resources, they hold the opinion that it is a poorly managed country which is in the hands of a few dishonest politicians and that it is surprising to see Pakistan in the state that it is right now.

Most British-Pakistanis were of the opinion that stereotyping against Pakistan must be stopped, while one of them also proclaimed that 98% of the Pakistani population is not of an extremist mindset.

The general afterthought remained that people wanted cleaner politics, thriving economy and better education and living standards in Pakistan.

Video rating: Thumbs up for gathering the thoughts of the British-Pakistani diaspora.

I think the solutions are as obvious as the problems. There are examples all around if the Pakistani nation were serious.
