Swimming: Three golds for Yahya as Punjab lead
Yahya won three under-16 events as Punjab lead the National Boys Championships after the opening day in Peshawar.

Muhammad Yahya won three under-16 events as Punjab lead the National Boys Championships after the opening day in Peshawar. Sindh sit second with three silver and two bronze medals while Islamabad secured one bronze. Yahya broke the national record in the 100m backstroke event, while Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Adil Khan was second and Nayyar Hussain was third. Yahya also bagged gold in the 100m freestyle and the 200m freestyle events. In other events, Sindh’s Hassan Paracha broke the national record in the boy’s under-14 200m breaststroke competition. Punjab’s Mohammad Rizwan also broke two national records in the under-12 200m freestyle and 200m individual medley events respectively.
