Against Malaysia, Mohammad Nawaz’s all-round show helped Pakistan bowl out the hosts for just 53 after poutting up 302 for four off their quota. Umar Waheed (76) was the top-scorer while captain Babar Azam (68) and Imamul Haq were the other main contributors with the bat.

In reply, Nawaz claimed three wickets for just nine runs to help dismiss the hosts in the 31st over. Azizullah (two for six) and Mir Hamza (two for 14) were the other main performers. Pavithren Nadaesan (17) was the only Malaysian player to reach double figures.
