MUMBAI: Katrina Kaif has no plans to get married anytime soon, but she has already decided the colour of her wedding outfit. The actor, who walked the ramp at the inaugural of the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) to showcase the Nakshatra bridal collection, will go green on her wedding day.

“At the moment I don’t know when I’ll marry. I had earlier said 2012, but that’s two years away. Such things are not planned. You never know what’s in store for you, but whenever it happens, I would love to wear something in green,” Kaif told reporters.

“I don’t know why, but I have this thing in my mind,” added the 26-year-old.

Wearing a peach ruffled lehenga with a jewel encrusted top, the actor sported a chunky diamond set that was based on the traditional seven-stone floral cluster design of the brand.

For Kaif, jewellery given to her is very special.

“Jewellery is something that becomes all the more special when it is gifted. My favourite piece of jewellery is a pendant that was gifted to me. It has a religious symbol on it. That piece is very special to me.”

IIJW is India’s first-ever jewellery week that will run till Thursday.

The extravaganza will showcase the collections of 30 designers, including Farah Khan Ali, Varun D Jani, Bina Goenka and Rhea Nasta. Well-known jewellery brands like Mirari, Gitanjali, Amrapali, Tanishq and Ganjam are also participating.

Buyers from Japan, Russia, Britain, China, Italy, Malaysia, Libya, Morocco, Iran, the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are expected to attend the event.
