Murders: Two shot dead; two bodies found

At least four people, including a member of the Kutchi Rabita Committee (KRC), were killed separately on Tuesday.


The trussed up body of a KRC activist, identified as Moosa, was found near the Kharadar Jamaatkhana. He was shot in the head.

The police said that unidentified men had kidnapped Moosa on Monday night and later dumped his body in a gunny bag. The victim lived in Agra Taj Colony, a Kutchi-dominated area.

Tension spread in parts of Lyari, including Agra Taj Colony, Moosa Lane and Khadda Market. Aerial firng was also reported. A Baloch man was gunned down, apparently in reaction to the KRC man’s killing within the Baghdadi police remits. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Amjad Baloch.

Within the Korangi police limits, Abdul Waheed, 26, was gunned down by unidentified attackers. The police said that two armed men on a motorcycle targeted the victim when he was going home. Separately, the body of an unidentified young man was found in the Baghdadi police limits. The police said that the victim was killed after being kidnapped, as his hands and legs were tied up and he was shot once in the head.

A policeman, Shakeel Baig, posted at the security zone in Hassan Square, was allegedly kidnapped from a picnic point. SHO Shabbir Hussain said that Baig was abducted by unidentified men while on a picnic with his family. He added that the family has not received a ransom call so far.
