After Margalla Hills, a heavy fire erupted in the hills of Bani Gala near the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Monday.
According to Asif Majeed, the director of fire controlling department of Capital Development Authority (CDA), firefighters were sent to the site as soon as an emergency call was received by his department. He said that a large area of the hill had been gutted but was brought under control by the fire brigade.
However, it was reported that the flames engulfed the area again after the firefighters left the scene. According to the residents, the fire was still burning till the filing of the story.
Majeed hinted at high temperature and dryness as a possible cause of the fire. Other concerned CDA officials including spokesperson Ramzan Sajid were not available for comments.
