Development projects: ‘Rs800m reserved for artificial lake’
A two-kilometer artificial lake near the Sutlej River bed and has allocated Rs800 million for this purpose

Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has approved a project for developing a two-kilometer artificial lake near the Sutlej River bed and has allocated Rs800 million for this purpose, MNA Saood Majeed told The Express Tribune. He said Rs200 million will be provided in the first installment to the Bahawalpur district government for the project. The district government has sent its proposal of a 100 km road between Bahawalpur and Hasilpur, development of a park at Zakheera and construction of an additional Circular Road in Bahawalpur and a water supply scheme for Ahmedpur tehsil.
