Gunned down: Two men shot dead, two bodies found

The former party workers were identified as 30-year-old Ghulam Shabbir and 35-year-old Aftab Magsi.

Two former activists of a political party were shot dead on Saturday in a drive-by shooting in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and two bodies were also found in different parts of the city.


The former party workers were identified as 30-year-old Ghulam Shabbir and 35-year-old Aftab Magsi. They were gunned down in Block-15 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar and were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

Body of a young man was found at Ahmed Shah Bukhari Road in Lyari, within the Kalri police limits. It was taken to Civil Hospital. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Saqib, son of Abdul Rasheed. Police officials said that Saqib was a butcher and ran a shop in Nazimabad. They added that Saqib lived in Garden West and was kidnapped on Friday in the neighbourhood while he was sitting outside his home. Police officials said that the culprits brutally tortured the victim before shooting him four times. The police said that  they were trying to ascertain the motive behind the killing.

Body of an unidentified man was found two days after his death from Yasrab Goth. DSP Iftikhar Lodhi said that the culprits dumped the body after torturing the victim to death. The body was taken Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
