ATTOCK: A prisoner accused in a murder case was severely beaten by some wardens at the Attock Distict Jail here on Friday. Nasir wrote an application to the district and sessions judge, saying that his brother Faisal, who was imprisoned in barrack number four of the Attock jail for a murder case, hanged a curtain in front of a door. However, when the jail warden asked him to remove the curtain, Faisal refused. Upon this, Assistant Superintendant Sami and four wardens Murad Ali, Imran, Shehzad and Shahid began thrashing him. When contacted, Superintendant Imtiaz Ahmed denied of any such incident in the jail.  During inquiry, jail authorities tried to hide Faisal’s condition. However, later on the orders of the district and sessions judge, he was shifted to DHQ hospital. All four wardens involved in the beating have been suspended.
