Technology workshop: Pak-China collaboration on research

KARACHI: China will help Pakistan enhance its capacity in science and technology, said Prof. Dr Mohammad Qaiser, the vice chancellor of the University of Karachi, on Tuesday. The National Nematological Research Centre and the Pakistan Society of Nematologists is organising the 12th Nematological Event: International Workshop on biological control of root-knot nematodes in vegetables from May 24 to 26. The workshop is a collaborative programme with China in advanced molecular technology and is sponsored by Pakistan Science Foundation. Local and foreign researchers will participate. VC Prof. Dr Mohammad Qaiser will attend as chief guest. The speakers include Dr Manzoor Hussain Soomro of the Pakistan Society of Nematologists, Dr Shahina Fayyaz and Dr Richou Han.
