BoP case: court sends Hamesh Khan to jail

The accused Hamesh Khan from the Bank of Punjab (BoP) fraud case has been sent to jail as his physical remand ended on Wednesday.
Hamesh was presented in court today amidst strict security measures. He requested not to be sent to jail under the Punjab government as he was receiving death threats, but the court rejected his request.
Hamesh has also moved the Lahore High Court for bail.
During the bail application hearing, his lawyer raised objections to the division bench of the High Court.
The hearing of the bail application has now been adjourned to the last week of August.
