RAWALPINDI: If the loadshedding issue is not resolved within two weeks time, then Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) will not support Pakistan People’s Party in the next elections, said PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

Elahi was speaking during a protest rally in Rawalpindi against the energy crisis.

PML-Q had also threatened to quit the ruling coalition if the government doesn’t halt massive power outages. “Load-shedding has disturbed the country enormously,” PML-Q Senator Kamil Ali Agha had said.

Elahi also criticised the Punjab government during his address, saying that “the Sharif brothers play politics of revenge.”

Lashing out at Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Elahi accused him of indulging in corruption worth Rs34 billion through the 18 portfolios he holds.

“Millions of rupees have been wasted in the Sasti Roti Scheme,” he added.
