LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has declined an invitation from the Sindh Sports Minister Dr Mohammad Ali Shah for the Pakistan national cricket team to play against a  World XI cricket team between May 25 and 26, at the National Stadium Karachi.

Responding to the request, a PCB spokesman said, "hosting an international team is a meticulous job and requires a huge amount of planning and groundwork on security and other aspects of the visit to organise it in a befitting manner. In this case, we have not been involved from the outset".

The spokesperson added that the national team is currently busy preparing for the Sri Lanka tour.

PCB has suggested to postpone the matches for a mutually agreed date in the future.
