Target killings: Continuing violence claims 5 lives in Karachi

Two unidentified bodies found, three including two political party workers killed in different areas.

KARACHI: The spate of target killings continued in Karachi on Wednesday, as five people were killed in separate incidents of violence within the last 24 hours, whereas two SHOs were suspended for failure to control violence in the city, Express News reported.

One unidentified body was found with the feet and hands tied up near Kausar Mosque on Moosa Lane in the Baghdadi area of Lyari during the early hours of the day.

A man identified as Amjad Ali was killed last night when unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire on him in the Sector D1 area of Malir Khokharapar.

Two workers of political parties were killed yesterday when unidentified men opened fire on them. Mirza Sarfaraz Ali was killed in the Sector L1 area of Orangi Town whereas Naseebullah Khan was killed in Qasba Colony.

Another unidentified body was found with its hands and feet tied up in Garden East.

SHO Jawad Akhtar of Orangi Town and SHO Parvez Gujjar of Peerabad police station were suspended for being unable to curb the spate of target killings in their respective areas.
