Violations: 492 vehicles fined, 288 impounded
Transporters to display fare-charts in their vehicles and warned them against overcharging.
FAISALABAD:
As many as 492 passenger and goods transport vehicles were fined in the city in April for overcharging and overloading, Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Secretary Tariq Mehmood Chaudhary said on Friday. He said 288 vehicles were impounded for violation of various rules and regulations and their owners fined a total of Rs320,800.
He directed transporters to display fare-charts in their vehicles and warned them against overcharging.
