Busted: Gang of kidnappers arrested

Fort Abbas SHO Mohammad Shahid said the gang kidnapped children from the area and sold them to contacts in Lahore.

Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a gang of four men accused of kidnapping three children from Fort Abbas. Police said that three children were recovered from Nasir Ali, Sajjad, Basharat Ali and Muzammil.



Fort Abbas SHO Mohammad Shahid said the gang kidnapped children from the area and sold them to contacts in Lahore.

He said that police had obtained their remand and were interrogating the men. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Abdul Hakeem, a complaint, said his son had been kidnapped two days ago. He said police arrested the kidnappers and recovered his son and two other children. SHO Shahid said that the children Afzal, 10, Shahid, 11, and Naveed, 13, had been handed over to their parents.
