Resistance: Protest after man shot in robbery

The robbers took away his cash and mobile phone.

FAISALABAD:
A man was shot dead for resisting a robbery in Millat Town on Saturday. Mian Anwar, a resident of Rasoolpura village, was shot near Samana Bridge in FDA City. The robbers took away his cash and mobile phone. Anwar was returning home after closing his shop. Neighbours took out a protest against police for failing to provide security. Neighbours later vandalised signboards at the CPLC check post. Operation’s SSP Sadiq Ali Dogar, MPA Zafar Iqbal Nagra and DSP Malik Khalid assured the protestors of bringing the culprits to book and persuaded them to disperse.
