Football: Udinese prep upset by ground spat

“He behaved in a way he shouldn’t and that’s why I’ve taken this decision,” said Guidolin.

ROME:
Udinese’s trip to Chievo has been disrupted by a training ground spat that resulted in disciplinary measures being taken against Maurizio Domizzi. Coach Francesco Guidolin has dropped Domizzi from the match-day squad following the centre back’s midweek bust-up with Colombian wing-back Pablo Armero. Guidolin said Domizzi’s reaction to the incident, he walked out of training without permission, earned him his sanction. “He behaved in a way he shouldn’t and that’s why I’ve taken this decision,” said Guidolin. “It’s painful, I think it’s the first time in my 25-year career that I’ve taken this type of decision, but I’ve taken it.” While Domizzi missed out, Guidolin can at least call on a number of other first team regulars previously missing. “It will be a tough match with many difficulties. Chievo put champions Milan in a lot of difficulty.”
