Bashir Qureshi’s death investigation to be on international standards: JSQM

KARACHI: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) leaders, after holding a meeting with Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan, announced that the investigation of Bashir Qureshi’s death will be done on international standards.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, the JSQM leader said that he is hopeful that the truth behind the ‘murder’ will soon emerge after investigations are done on an international level.

“This is a high-profile political murder, just like that of BB [Benazir Bhutto], Bhutto, Shahnawaz Bhutto and Murtaza Bhutto,” he added. “We have also given him the title of Shaheed-e-Sindh [martyr of Sindh]. The people of Sindh have given him this title.”

After a detailed meeting between JSQM leaders and the home minister, it was agreed that the viscera will be sent to any country that JSQM asks for.

The leadership of JSQM had alleged that Qureshi who passed away on April 7 had been poisoned in Sakrand, Benazirabad district, and had demand an impartial inquiry into the murder.

The cuase of his death must be investigated to do away with the allegations . The Govt must reveal what really did kill him , any foe , the food or the "drink " ?
