Forced move: Camp for missing persons relocated

A DHR member said the police uprooted some of their tents used by elderly to sleep in.

ISLAMABAD:
Relatives of missing persons, who were encamped at the Parade Lane were asked by the police to move their camp from the site on Thursday. Citing security reasons, the police officials and assistant commissioner asked the Defence for Human Rights (DHR) Chairperson Amina Janjua, the organiser of the camp, to relocate. The relatives of the missing persons have relocated to in front of the National Press Club. A DHR member said the police uprooted some of their tents used by elderly to sleep in. Another person said that the camps were removed after police and administration pressurised the people over there.
